Mind's cafe... The place where time flies faster than in Rip Van Winkle.

Oh yes, before i start anything...
Remember the fireworks video i took on National Day?
It's up on my channel.
And here you go~
You like it? =)

For yesterday, it marks the end of the studying semester of my RP life.
And we kinda celebrate it by going to the Mind's Cafe near Dhoby Ghaut.
Well, it sure does have the shop house feel.
You see...
The whole stretch was shop houses (If they are really one, that's another thing).

The cafe itself feel rather cosy, despite not having people inside (We're the first in, and including us, there's only three groups playing as of 6 PM).
Look, it feels relaxed, just like a good place chill out, with lots and lots of games, yes? =D

Anyways, we just went to picked the board games when we were seated.
First up was this game called slapagory (Hope i didn't get the name wrong).
The main idea of the game was to have two cards: Category and an alphabet.
So using the two cards, think of a name of something that has the alphabet as a start which suits that category.
Then slap on the pad and say 'I know, (Name of the item)'.
So we had much fun, with most of the time, laughing at where we thought.

The next game was much of a bane to me.
You see, i'm one who can't really control his laughter.
And the main point of the game was not to laugh.

The gist of the game was to tell jokes or act out a specific scenario.
Though some of them are rather lame, it still feels pretty funny actually.
We didn't really fancy the 'acting out of scenario'.
It didn't really have that appeal factor.
Some jokes were good, like these.
Did they tickle your funny bone?

We experimented on various games too.
But this one was a killer.
It suggests a large number of insane dares, which proves to be something i wouldn't really recommend for the faint-hearted. Haha~
There was this one, which suggest to dig your nose and eat the booger, as well as other rather obnoxious ones.

After the whole thing, we went to Dhoby Exchange to have our dinner.
No prizes for guessing correctly, we had Just Acia for dinner.
I had Ginger Dory (I can't remember the name on the menu).
I was quite enticed by the smell of the sauce.
It smells pretty good.
It taste equally good too.
Just that, honestly speaking, i don't really like Dory.

Right after dinner, Ray went to buy brownie for the four of us to share.
My my, it tasted heavenly.
Only making it much more a pity that i was so full up i couldn't eat any more =/

Ah~
It's really enjoyable~

Ah, and i think things are going for the better these days.
I really like how things are like now.

Spin City & Haru's Summer Fest.... And the last day of my poly life.

Ah, it's gonna be a long long post.
But aww well~

As you can see, it was an eventful week, you could say.
I was busy preparing for them.
Nervous for them somehow.

First up, it was Spin City.
Honestly, the turn-up on that day was rather disappointing.
I was practically playing to no one on the dance floor.
Only Shai, Jane (from SP DJ) and Melvin made me feel rather appreciated, as well as a few of my juniors.

And in case you have been wondering how i look like when i am playing....
Here you go~~
Hmmm, how you think of it?

After that, i head off to TRCC for Yearbook photoshoot.
And i saw a few familiar faces i have not see for so long.
Yes, i had fun with Wenlin and Minyie.
My my... It's been a long time since i met them.

Ah, after that, i got my new phone.
Mom got me on the day before.
My my, i love it.
It's sleek, it's cool.
What more a boy can ask for?

And, i also got myself a new wax.
Gatsby's power spike.
Haha~

Ah, fast forward to Sunday's event.
Well, i sang Makka Na Ito, which was my 'suicide song'.
Remembered how much it killed me on stage.

But putting that aside, i really like my performance this time.
Honestly, it's my best performance yet.
I can't be too proud of it though.
Since it wasn't too great either.
With forgotten lyrics and bad breathing controls, as well as being nervous, i have more to be improved.
But anyways,i love it.

Here's the link to my performance.
And.... How do you find it? =)
By the way, do subscribe to my channel, ok?
Though i must say, i'm getting lazy these days =/

And look-y here.
I've gotta a Bingo ticket, and it's such a waste that i didn't get those 'last numbers'.
Otherwise, i would have gotten a toy bear plushie for Sis.
Aww well~ =/

And today's the last day of school.
Honestly, as much as i can't wait to leave the school for attachment, i felt that kind of bitter-sweet feelings towards it.
I think i will miss my friends. Especially those i won't meet often.

The facilitator today treated us to a hearty breakfast of Nasi Lemak.
Love it.
It's been a long time since i had it from that stall.

Ah... I guess, i will somehow miss things there huh?

But but but, i'm happy i ain't gonna be seeing some people.
Drama queens, braggarts and show-offs.
Bye bye suckers =D

So now's holiday.
Maybe i will really find time to unwind and have fun =)

So where's the fireworks?

Hey people~
As you can see from the picture above, we had a game of board game.
It's Pandemic. And it's a tough game to play, but all the more fun it is =)

Anyways, the day started with going to the temple to pray Grandpa and my relatives who has passed on.
And had lunch before heading out to find Ray, Wayne and Ah Xian.

So, after meeting up with them, we headed to Istana, only to find out that it was not open for viewing.
And thus onward to Funan the IT mall, where this board game comes to play.

You see, we went to this cafe by the name of Minds Cafe in the mall.
We had this package whereby $10 per person and you could play all you want till 6 with free-flow drinks.
So, we stumbled with this game, with the help of this handsome Ang Moh service staff.
And he explained the details of how to play the game.

So for the next hour or so, we played and lost the game, repeatedly.
But it's really a great game that's worth your time to waste, honestly-speaking.

After that, we decided to head to see the firework display later on.
Initially, we wanted to meet up with Thien Sen, but it seems i messed up on my directions and the roads were blocked off, so getting to where he were was practically impossible.

We ended up watching the fireworks at Marina Square.
While Ah Xian took photos using his new lens, i took a vid of the fireworks.
Love the display this year.
There were much more variety, if you asked me.
There was this heart-shaped firework, but the one i liked most was the one that ends up shimmering, like diamond or gold dust drops.

Well, i guess i will post the video tomorrow in school.
Upload speed there is superb.
And it's a waste not to make good use of it, right? =D

A lifetime, and putting it down.

Before i start anything, Try listening to this song.
Crying Rain - Girugamesh

Heard of this in Riven's 3 choice of songs to sing for upcoming event.
The more i listen to this, the more i like this song.
Erisa told me my voice 'resembles' the lead vocalist of this band.
Gee, i can't even reach his notes.
Man....

Anyways, after a chat with mom, i realised, some dreams can never come true.
Not for this lifetime, not for this lifetime i'm living now.
And yes, one of them is having a career as a singer, and nothing else.
Not in here, not now.
Why? I don't have the money, and my family don't have the resources to support me.
You see, sadly, we are the people who can't afford to chase their dreams.
We can't do alot of things which others can afford to do.
It's pretty sad to say such stuff, but it's how reality works.
Not in here, where things like 'Creative movements' or 'we support creativity' are said or done, yet the society just prefers whatever that earns more money in the end, rendering the earlier things mentioned mere bullcrap.

But having said those things, i don't plan to give up, or throw my dreams away.
I'll let it be my sideline. And take intelligent opportunism.
Like hell i will give up singing.
Not unless i have to choose between something else more important than it.

And and...
Last night, i had a chat with Geok Theng.
Guess it's quite sometime since i really chatted with her.
You could say, i kinda enjoyed that, somehow.

And come to think of it, i have no reasons to hate her now.
I lost those reasons.
To be honest, i don't even feel the intense feeling i felt back then.
Maybe i was still thinking immaturely about it back then?

You could really say that i had already put those feelings down.
It's really meaningless to hold onto such things.
Besides, if you can't put it down, how are you able to take up another?

Anyways~
I think i have a mix to be confirmed =/

How awesome.... How dreadful.....

Have you ever been in a situation whereby you feel happy and dreadful at the same time, on the same subject matter?
If you grant that, you could actually call it a 'love-hate' situation.
I guess that happens to me from time to time.

But for now, i have three.
Well, i'm happy i'm in it. Ecstatic, to be honest.
While i got what i wanted, i feel kinda nervous about it.
I don't really dread it, but rather, just have a deep fear about messing up.
After all, you know me, i'm prone to messing up.

So you see, first was my application for the upcoming Haru event.
I sent in my cover of Makka Na Ito by Plastic Tree.
And i got in.
Gee, i sent in my 'suicide song', noting how difficult it is for me to sing this song.
So far, response was good, just that i need to work on my falsetto (which is what killed me).
So it's a make-or-break thing on that day itself.

Next, Mount Faber called me.
I'm accepted there.
But yet to know whether i'm in GRO or F&B.
But i really wanna be in the GRO. I wanna interact with guests.
The job scope is great, just that the distance there.
Hai.....
Will 'love overcome all distances' this time? =/

Last but not least, i finally got my spot for Spin City.
It's my first one, and sadly my last one too.
Though it's just a warm-up set, it's good enough for me.
But the problem is, i'm the most prone to mess up when i'm on the decks.
Tsk...
But it's gonna be so so cool.
I'm gonna give it my all, my best.
After all, it's my last. Hahaha~

Ok guys.
Gotta go~~
